Madden 26 has its cover athlete

Madden 26 officially has its cover athlete and it’s who we thought. As we previously from NBC reporter John Clark, is reporting that Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley is the Madden 26 cover athlete. This marks the first time in Madden history that a running back was on the cover of Madden in back to back years. The hurdle heard around the world, combined with the Eagles Super Bowl championship, secured Barkley the coveted spot.

Saquon Hurdle was added to Madden 25

Earlier this year, Saquon had a true Madden moment on the field, with what can only be described as the “Saquon Hurdle.” Seen hundreds of millions of times online on various social media outlets, the backwards hurdle was simply a play that no one else in the NFL would even think of attempting to try, besides Barkley. After many fans asked for the move to be added into Madden, EA added the Saquon Hurdle to Madden 25. They did a great job of replicating the move, and the popularity of the Saquon hurdle alongside his recent Super Bowl victory, made Saquon as the cover athlete a sure thing! With the “Saquon Hurdle,” being the cover athlete of Madden 26, you can expect the popular move back on the game in Madden 26!

Madden 26 has its release date

Originally leaked by “billbil-kun,” of Dealabs and covered by Players’ Lounge , it has now been confirmed that Madden 26 will release on August 14th. While the release of Madden 26 will be on August 14th, players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or are EA Play Pro members, can get early access on August 11. Madden 26 will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Nintendo Switch 2!
