PL Predict -Frequently Asked Questions
General
What is PL Predict?
PL predict lets you trade on the outcomes of real sports events — directly against other traders, not against the house.
Instead of placing a traditional bet at fixed odds, you buy and sell event contracts. Each contract is tied to a sports outcome (for example, "Team A wins tonight's game"), and its price reflects what the market currently thinks the probability of that outcome is. Prices move in real time as traders buy and sell.
How does it work?
1. Pick an outcome — a game result, a total, a player performance, anything with a market.
2. Take a position — accept the current market price and get matched with another trader.
3. Watch it play out — your position rides until the event settles, with live prices showing where the market stands.
4. Get paid on settlement — if your outcome hits, the contract settles in your favor and winnings go straight to your Players' Lounge balance.
Why it's different?
No house. Every trade is matched between real market participants. Players' Lounge and our exchange partner never take the other side of your position.
The market sets the price. Prices are driven by supply and demand — not by a bookmaker's fixed lines.
PL Predict — is powered by ProphetX, a federally regulated sports prediction exchange.
Who is ProphetX?
ProphetX is a CFTC-regulated designated contract market (DCM) focused entirely on sports.
How the roles are split?
ProphetX runs the exchange. All order execution, matching, pricing, settlement, and fund custody for trading happen on ProphetX's systems, under its CFTC regulatory obligations and rulebook.
Players' Lounge provides the experience. We built the interface that lets you browse markets and trade from inside the Players' Lounge app.
What does this mean for you?
A ProphetX account. Trading on PL Predict requires a ProphetX account. You'll be guided through ProphetX's onboarding — identity verification, risk disclosures, and terms — the first time you access PL Predict.
Trade without leaving the app. Once set up, you browse and trade right inside Players' Lounge.
One place for support. For anything PL Predict related, contact Players' Lounge support through in-app live chat, just like always. We handle all support directly, and work with ProphetX behind the scenes when an issue needs their input.
How is PL Predict different from sports betting?
If you've used a sportsbook before, PL Predict will feel familiar — but a few key things work differently, and mostly in your favor.
What "no house" actually means
On a sportsbook, the operator profits when you lose — so the odds are built to work against you. On an exchange, every position is matched against another trader who holds the opposite view. A small service fee applies to trades, and nobody on the other side of the platform has a stake in whether you win or lose.
The practical result: tighter prices and better value than fixed sportsbook lines, especially on popular markets.
What happens after I place a trade?
Your position is locked in at the price you traded at and settles when the event finishes. Market prices keep moving with the action, so you can always see where the market currently rates your outcome — but your payout is based on the price you got when you placed the trade.
Why was my prediction cancelled even though the game was won?
PL Predict is a prediction exchange, so every trade must be matched with another trader. If there isn't enough liquidity or no one takes the other side of your trade before the market closes, your order won't be executed and will be automatically cancelled. Since no trade was completed, the outcome of the game doesn't affect your order, and any held funds are returned to your balance.
Why can't I set my own price or cash out early?
At launch, PL Predict is a streamlined experience: you trade at the live market price, and positions ride until the event settles. We know setting your own prices (limit orders) and trading out of positions early are important features — they're on our roadmap, and we're working to bring them to PL Predict as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you still get the core benefits of the exchange model: market-driven prices with no house margin, and no limits on winners.
What markets can I trade on PL Predict?
PL Predict is for traditional sports only — no politics, no pop culture, no weather, and no esports markets. (Your Warzone and 2K action stays right where it's always been — in your Players' Lounge matches.)

Located in a region where PL Predict is available
Steps
1. Open PL Predict
Go to the Predict tab in the Players' Lounge app.
2. Find your market
Browse by sport or league, or search for a team, player, or event. Tap a game to see all available markets — moneyline, spread, totals, player markets, and more.
3. Choose your side
Every market shows a live price, driven by market supply and demand. Pick the side you want — you'll trade at the current market price and get matched with other traders.
4. Enter your amount and confirm
Enter how much you want to trade. You'll see your potential payout before you confirm. Funds are held from your Players' Lounge balance once you submit.
5. Follow your position
After you're matched, your position is locked in at your trade price. It rides until the event finishes and the market settles — if your outcome hits, your returns are credited to your balance automatically.
Verify it worked
You can view your open positions anytime in the Predict tab. Settled positions show your result and any winnings credited to your balance.
Common issues
The price changed before I confirmed: Prices move in real time with market activity. If the price changes while you're placing your trade, you'll be shown the updated price and asked to confirm before anything goes through — you'll never be filled at a price you didn't see.
How does my balance work with PL Predict?
PL Predict uses your existing Players' Lounge balance — there's no separate wallet to fund or manage.
One balance for everything. The same balance you use for your Players' Lounge matches funds your PL Predict trades.
Deposits work as usual. Add funds using any of your existing deposit methods — nothing changes.
Winnings settle to your balance. Markets settle when the game ends, and your payout lands in your Players' Lounge balance automatically.
Withdrawals work as usual. Withdraw through your normal withdrawal methods, subject to standard processing times.
What happens when I place a trade?
When you place a trade, the amount is held from your available balance and stays committed to your position until the market settles.
Good to know
Funds tied up in open positions aren't available for other matches or withdrawals until the position settles.
Bonus and promo balances can not be used on PL Predict trades for now — trades are funded from your cash balance only.
Who can use PL Predict?
PL Predict is available nationwide in the United States as a federally regulated product — but a few requirements apply before you can trade.
Requirements
Age: You must be at least 18 years old.
Location: PL Predict is available in all U.S. states except Nevada.
Verified identity: You'll complete ProphetX's identity verification (KYC) as part of first-time PL Predict onboarding. If you've already verified your identity on Players' Lounge, this should be quick — the information we've collected covers what ProphetX requires.
Terms acceptance: The first time you access PL Predict, you'll be asked to accept the ProphetX terms of service. If the terms are updated later, you'll need to accept the new version before trading again.
Why verification is required
PL Predict operates under federal regulation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Identity and location verification are regulatory requirements that keep the exchange fair, secure, and compliant — they protect you and every other trader in the market.
I'm having trouble with verification
If your verification is stuck or was declined, reach out to support through the in-app chat and we'll help you sort it out.
Fees, settlement & payouts on PL Predict
Here's how the money side of PL Predict works — what it costs, how markets settle, and when you get paid.
Fees
There's no house margin baked into prices. Instead, a small service fee is automatically applied when you place a trade — it comes out of your trade amount, and the rest goes into your position.
The fee is variable, based on the odds of the market — it's lower when you back a favorite and a bit higher on longshots — and works out to around 2% on average. The prices and payouts you see already reflect it, so there's nothing to calculate and no surprises.
This typically works out cheaper than the margin built into traditional sportsbook odds, where the fee is hidden inside every line.
Settlement
Markets settle when the game ends, based on the official result.
If an event is postponed, cancelled, or a result is changed after the fact, the outcome is determined by ProphetX's market rules, which vary by sport. You can find the full per-sport rules in the ProphetX Rules — in most cases, trades on cancelled events are voided and stakes returned.
Payouts
When a market settles in your favor:
Your returns (with the service fee already accounted for) are credited to your Players' Lounge balance automatically.
Funds are available immediately after settlement — no waiting period and no limits on using them for new trades, matches, or withdrawal.
I think my trade settled incorrectly
Settlement outcomes are determined by ProphetX according to its exchange rulebook and the official event result. If you believe a market was graded wrong, contact Players' Lounge support through in-app live chat with the market name and your trade details. We'll review it and work with ProphetX to get the settlement checked — and we'll keep you updated throughout.
