Cameron Ward’s shockingly Low Rating
When the Titans selected Miami standout Cam Ward as the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, it came as no surprise. Ward put up remarkable numbers during his last season in Miami, throwing for an insane 39 touchdowns with 4,319 yards to go alongside it. With that being said, Madden was not impressed. Cam Ward comes into Madden 26 just as a 72 overall. To put that into perspective, the number 2 pick in the draft Travis Hunter, is an 84 overall. While all rookies are a work in progress including Ward, there are several rookies that are rated much higher than Ward who were selected even in the later rounds. This will only add fuel to Ward’s fire.

The 99 Overall Club Revealed
The 99 overall Club for Madden 25 features 7 players! Madden 26 cover athlete and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley highlights the field, followed by quarterbacks Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. Offensive tackle Lane Johnson and the only defensive player in this year's 99 overall club, defensive end Myles Garrett, rounds out the group. Be on the lookout for Lamar Jackson in Madden 26, as he is bringing an impressive 96 speed rating with him to Madden 26, that will undoubtedly make him one of the hardest quarterbacks to contain in the new Madden.

No Patrick Mahomes
The biggest story coming out of the Madden 26 club is not who made the list, but who didn’t. 3 time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes was not included on this year's 99 overall club. Noticeably, fellow quarterbacks Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson were 99 overalls, making it the first time in over 4 years that Mahomes did not enter Madden as a 99 overall. While Mahomes will not be a 99 overall when Madden 26 launches, there is always a chance he can become a 99 overall as the season progresses and the ratings update.
